a.
Add Code of Ethics under Old Business

Regional Reports
a.
Fraser Macro is being developed. The first meeting is September 11,
2008.
b.
North Ongoing critical shortage of foster homes with many
inconsistencies between offices within the different areas. MCFD no
longer supplies a clothing grant for children coming into care; the foster
parents are being told to access the local thrift stores. President to address
with MCFD.
c.
Interior . There may be twice yearly meeting with the CSMs going
forward. The meetings will include the RED. Issues addressed with
MCFD include the need to treat foster parents as equals. The region is
still waiting for reimbursement of childcare expenses agreed to by MCFD
to allow foster parents to attend the BCFFPA AGM in May
d.
Island Most foster parent are taking the summer off. There was a June
19th partnership meeting which the rep attended. There are issues arising
on the island with regard to allegations being put in CIC files as well as
foster parent files. Foster Parents are encouraged to keep very clear and
accurate records in order to protect themselves. The President to follow
up. An appointment will be made in the fall for a face to face between the
President and PGT.

Presidents Report
a.
Upcoming meetings
i.
Meeting with Minister Christensen scheduled for July 22, 2008 at
his request
ii.
Sandra Griffin the new ADM has requested a meeting with the
President in Kelowna at the end of the month..
iii.
Insurance training will be taking place in the fall at various
locations around the province.
iv.
The board approved $750 per month for the hiring of a grant
writer.
b.
Updates
i.
A new treasurer is available. He is currently an accountant, and is
willing to take on the appointment until the next AGM.
ii.
CFFA The CFFA would like to do a face to face. Alberta will
cover accommodation costs for BC Delegates to attend, however a
request was made to have the Federation cover transportation
costs.
