Questions & Answers for MCFD Social Workers
The Ministry of Children and Family Development has released its June 30, 2008 Operational Plan Update and Progress Reports. The Operational
Plan Update outlines the status of the various actions and milestones that the ministry is working on in order to enhance and
improve services for children, youth and communities.
The Operational Plan Update also includes an appendix containing progress on the implementation of the Hughes Review recommendations.
The Operational Plan Progress Report contains information on the specific steps being undertaken in order to achieve the various actions in the Operational Plan.

At the 2006 BCFFPA AGM, a motion was raised and passed requesting that the BCFFPA prepare an information form for Foster Parents to give feedback to the child’s social worker on the quality of service received during a placement. The BCFFPA has developed a printable version of the form for the use by Foster Parents, to be returned to the Ministry when completed. Here is the form.
